During the first week of the Graphic Communications for Fashion Industries we began by analysing the holiday work that we had done; the Club Kids photoshoot and the Sub-Culture shoot. Starting my new sketchbook, I pasted in my two holiday projects into it to showcase my works, the layout of the pages consisted of a brief collage/brainstorm of the visuals and context. Then, physically manipulating my final outcomes, whilst still being able to see the full scope of the photographs, I presented them throughout my book.
The first project that I did was the Club Kid’s project, which was inspired by culture and life of Studio 54, that was very much colourful, eccentric and loud. I decided that I was very much inspired by the use of bright colours and sparkle in the photographs that I had seen.

As for the Identity shoot I focused on the subcultures back in my hometown- Hong Kong. I really wanted my shoot to revolve around the lack of identity when it comes the working class in Hong Kong. All working overtime constantly, the people of Hong Kong are so money-focused and such workaholics that most of these people’s lives revolve around work. Thats why a lot of the people are constantly dressed the same in suits ties, blouses, heels etc. I really wanted to depict the lack of identity through utilising identical outfits, hair and makeup, to portray duplicates of the same model to express this concept.
